This month's meetup will be held at Phase2 (514 NW 11th Ave. Ste 203).
Michaela Davis will be speaking about her experiences learning Javascript ES6 (which is the new flavor of javascript used by most modern programmers, including Drupal core).
Ryan Price will give an overview of map/reduce and some functions you can do with javascript arrays and objects.
There will also be time for a discussion about git and development workflows.
The first 30 minutes of the meetup will be socializing and dinner, followed by the two talks in whatever order they would like. If you are hiring or promoting an event, there will be a brief opportunity for announcements.
Our meetup rotates each month, so check groups.drupal.org and meetup.com for next month's event, and our social meetup, Brewpal.

Thanks for all your hard work
Thanks for all your hard work organizing the meetups.
I would like to go but I am unable to make it. Cann we post these a bit earlier? I have to get a babysitter to attend the meetups and I cannot get one with one day notice.
I was part of the first DUG
I was part of the first DUG meetings when Sam started them years ago at the Bus Project offices, and to my knowledge they have always been the second Wednesday of the month at 6:00 PM. The locations have varied (Open Sourcery, anyone?), but the date and time has always been the same.
Next is December 12 at Acquia
Frob,
Sorry for the confusion. Steve is right, but that's no excuse on my part.
The meetup dates and locations are usually listed in the group description. It's very rare that we will not be doing the second Wednesday. Next is December 12 at Acquia, 6-8pm.
If you are comfortable with joining meetup.com that information is usually more up-to-date: https://www.meetup.com/Portland-Drupal/

I am on meetup.com and I know
I am on meetup.com and I know the schedule. I but I need to justify the cost of the babysitter for the topic. I will still drop in from time to time, but if I knew the topic earlier I could justify the expense.
I know things come together (or not) often last minute, but do we have a tentative schedule in a google sheet or something. @liberatr I want you to know that I appreciate all the hard work that goes into the meetups.
