Notice is hereby given of the Annual General Meeting of Drupal Scotland to be held on Thursday 9th January 2020 remotely via web conference.

Agenda

  • Minutes of previous AGM - The minutes of the previous AGM will be attached to this notice shortly.
  • Chairperson's report
  • Treasurer's report and adoption of annual accounts
  • Election of Committee
  • Motions
  • Any Other Business

Motions
Motions must be submitted to info@drupal.scot not less than 7 days before the meeting.

Election
The election of the committee will take place at the AGM. Each attendee to the AGM will be issued with a voting sheet. The vote will be conducted using the PR-STV method. If 7 or less nominations are received then no election will take place and those people will automatically be elected.

Nominations
Nominations for election to the committee must be submitted to info@drupal.scot not less than 7 days before the meeting. The nomination must include a paragraph about the nominee which will appear on the voting sheet.

Six nominations were received for elections to the committee and therefore no election will take place and the nominees are automatically elected to serve the next year on the committee. The committee for 2020 will be:

  • Rob Carr
  • Duncan Davidson
  • Rachel Findlay
  • John Hume
  • Aaron McHale
  • Bryan Gullan

As there were fewer than seven nominations the committee will discuss co-options to fill the vacancy at their first meeting. If you are interested in being co-opted please email info@drupalscotland.org stating how you could help further the work of Drupal Scotland by being part of the committee.

Motions

Five motions were received and will be discussed and voted on by the attendees of the AGM. The motions are:

  • This meeting notes the proposal to create a Drupal UK group and the meeting believes this is something that could detract from the 9 years of work building Drupal Scotland. This meeting resolves that the incoming committee need to make a formal and public response.
  • This meeting notes the creation of a Drupal Scotland Business Group and the meeting believes that this grouping should be represented within the committee of Drupal Scotland. The meeting resolves that the constitution should be amended to allow the Drupal Scotland Business Group to nominate a representative(s) to sit on the committee.
  • This meeting notes discussions with ScotlandPHP to align with their annual conference and the meeting believes that aligning the dates of DrupalCamp Scotland with ScotlandPHP would be beneficial to both conferences. The meeting resolves that the incoming committee work with ScotlandPHP organisers to achieve this change.
  • This meeting notes the lack of attendance of the Scottish community at regional/international events and the meeting believes that Drupal Scotland should fundraise/use reserves to sponsor people to attend events such as DrupalCon. The meeting resolves that the incoming committee investigate options to achieve attendance sponsorship.
  • This meeting notes the lack of promotion of Drupal at relevant Scottish events/tradeshows etc and the meeting believes that Drupal Scotland should fundraise/use reserves to promote Drupal at these events. The meeting resolves that the incoming committee investigate options to achieve the promotion of Drupal at appropriate trade events.
