Drupal's Versatility
Natasha Scott — co-founder and web architect at SonicCat Studios
Drupal is such a versatile CMS that sometimes it can be difficult to decide just how to build something. Should this feature be a taxonomy or a node? Is layout builder better than a bunch of fancy regions? The best approach is often specific to a project and the decision not that straight forward. We will open with a couple common scenarios for discussion, but please bring your own experiences too!
Chris Uzo — Data Quality Administrator
It's always good to see how other systems approach the same problems that we deal with in Drupal. Chris will show a case study of how a basic Articles web app can be built with Django.

Unfortunately, I can't make it ...
I was planning to attend tonight, but I am under the weather, so can't make it.
One question I had was that comparing Django to Drupal is a bit of apples and oranges. Drupal is a CMS, but Django is more of a web framework (like PHP's Symfony or Laravel). Things like Django-CMS, Wagtail or Pinax make Django into a CMS.
Or that is how I understand it.
Would be great if the slides are made available after the session.
Thanks

Thanks everyone. We had some good discussions!
Eric, you were talking about some new Pattern Lab integration that you were using that had a weird name. I knew I should've written it down!

Another patternlab alternative
Yet another alternative to PatternLab that I've looked into is Fractal. You can see my attempt to learn how to use it at github.com/mparker17/learn-fractal
