Unlocking additional settings for view blocks
Rick Hawkins will demonstrate how to leverage the Chaos Tools Views module to provide site editors with more settings when placing a view block than the "Items per page" setting provided by Drupal core. Additional settings include: hiding or reordering fields, configuring or disabling filters, configuring sorts, and more. Enabling these settings empowers editors to display custom lists of content without requiring a new view or view display to be created for each variant they want.
Location
Online via Zoom; the URL for the meeting will be shared in the SeaDUG Slack workspace and with anyone who signs up for the event on groups.drupal.org.

Meeting tonight!
Our monthly SeaDUG meeting is tonight at 6:30 PT. Rick Hawkins will demonstrate how to provide flexibility when placing view blocks by exposing settings for fields, filters, and sorts in the block placement form. We'll talk generally about building and managing views, and delve into such other topics as migrations, layout builder, and conditional fields.
The meeting will be held online with Zoom; the URL for the meeting will be shared in the SeaDUG Slack workspace and with anyone who signs up for the event at https://groups.drupal.org/node/537016
