Offering dark mode on a website is becoming increasingly popular. It’s a good option for accessibility, and a lot of people just prefer to view web pages this way.
You might think this should be simple - just swap the text and background colours and you’re good to go, right? It turns out that there’s a bit more to it.
In this session we will look at:
- When and why you should provide a dark mode
- Designing dark and light colour schemes that work
- How to allow users to choose dark mode and respect system preferences
- How to handle both colour schemes in in CSS
- How to make system UI elements (i.e. forms) respect the dark mode selection
You'll come away with a strategy for implementing dark mode, and the tools & code to make it happen.

Possible schedule change
We have a room booking issue for the next few months meetup. We can't get the E7 room on the 19th (or the third Thursday in March or April). The options are:
We can't book the Hagey Hall rooms in April until they have the exam schedule done. Also, the room we can get is different from the usual one (HH 345, not 119 .. that might be the one we were in last May)
We do have the E7 room booked for May & June.
What do you think? Option #2 sounds better to me.

A 2.1 proposal might be to get the room on a different Thursday? Maybe 4th Thursday instead of 3rd?

Rescheduling for tonight
I don't think anyone is going to want to go out in this weather tonight. So we will reschedule this talk. I just realized that March 25th is during DrupalCon so that's not good, I will be there. Unless you all want to meet without me :)
