Hi folks,
I'm planning to put Captcha's v3 in code freeze with the release of Captcha 5.x.3.0, which should be released this Sunday.
If you have any feature that you really want to see implemented, please, submit a patch as soon as possible.

Good idea
Sounds like a great idea! It'll give us a chance to stick with the current API and get up to speed with fixing any bugs, making it better/faster until Drupal 6 comes out. By that time, we'll also have a fresh port to Drupal 6 for the Drupal 6 release date.
No to fast
Could you please wait a little bit more with the freeze and release, please?
This weekend I'm on a trip and won't be able to work on the captcha module. I still have some things I would like to add/change (like an extra API thing). I hope I can do them before Wednesday (Aug 22) or something.
Maybe, just release a RC2?
Thanks for committing all those patches by the way .
Ok, we can wait until

Code freeze
Do you mean code freeze of the API or code freeze of the whole capcha module?
There are still some interesting issues in the tracker. Some are easy bug fixes/minor updates (e.g. http://drupal.org/node/168759, http://drupal.org/node/169494) and some are ready to be commited.
Concerning the API (and freezing it): I'd like some more feedback on the multi widget extension I proposed at http://drupal.org/node/169132
