About Me
My name is Gaurang Aggarwal ,Second year Student of BS Anangpuria Institute of Technology near Delhi , India . I am completing my Btech (Bachelor in Technology) in IT . I am also working as Web Designer in a Startup dealing in Web Development Services I had been using Drupal since 2 years and I am in completely love with Drupal since then . I really like Google Summer of Code and had been waiting for it since couples of months . I would love to get selected as a student of GSOC .
Overview
I create websites having lots of Menus in Primary or Secondary menu . To create large no. of menus ( >= 10 menus ) is presently tiring process requiring atleast (>20 page loads & refreshes ) .
Personally I felt need for this module as I have to create lots of menus for my websites . This module will prove to be very helpful .
My Proposal
I want to create a module called Bulk Menu Creator which Creates multiple Menu by showing multiple textboxes and has capability to increase the no. of menus to be created by list button like that in POLL MODULE . With the single click , all the menus will be created . The module will have a toggle switch which will toggle between AJAXified & Non AJAXified version . This module will help save lot of time when one wants to create over 10 menu which at present is very tiring task and requires around 20 - 30 page loads for creating 10 Menu .
Difficulty
Medium - Personally I feel the module is not much difficult as I have clear idea of what is the problem and what will be the best possible solution for it .
How long will it take to complete the project ?
This module will take my entire Summer as I want to add new functionalities which keeps on coming in my mind every now and then .
Mentors
Not at the moment but Presently I have a friend ( lut4rp) who was Summer of Codes Student for Drupal . He helps me when I have any issue with Drupal . If you want to help , let me know ! .
