Start:
2006-06-01 18:00 - 20:00 Canada/Pacific

Our monthly meeting, taking place at the Take 5 Cafe on the corner of Granville and Hastings.

Update: Take 5 is actually changing their hours and will no longer be staying open late -- just found this out today. Let's meet at the Bryght offices, 525 Seymour, Suite 203. Front doors close at 6pm, so we'll be standing downstairs in front of the building, just down from BCIT.

Please leave a comment if you would like to present. Some of the topics we can discuss include the past DrupalCamp Toronto, the upcoming DrupalCamp Seattle, review the Google Summer of Code announcements, and perhaps have Steve MacKenzie show us his Skype Support module.

Please fill out the signup form if you are going to attend.

General Info?

Hey Guys, (if this double-posts forgive me, my first comment got a "validation error" and disappeared...)

So, as I was saying, I found out about this through my SO, Scott (hadsie), who is on his way over to the meeting. I can't make it because I have to get through a bunch of work on my thesis for tomorrow. I'm sure he'll fill me in on lots of the details, but I was wondering if anyone can give me a general idea about what kind of info is usually covered...

Is it usually pretty technical? I'm pretty much a beginner, I've learned basic html and how to use css, and have started using Drupal to make websites, but my skills are more on the artistic/design side. Would there be any info on more artistic topics like basically how to make Drupal sites look nicer?

Thanks for any feedback, and I really hope to make it to the next meeting!

it would be great if you (and others) did post your questions before the next meeting
but it's not necessary!

Drupal site users, admins, themers and developers are all welcome
So yes you and other "themers" are welcome. We can definitely talk about theming at the next meeting
The agenda is driven by who shows up and by posts and comments on this site!

Heya,

Just wanted to say that I was very inspired by the get-together this evening. I really enjoyed the open discussion, the accepting atmosphere, the cool review of sites, the people sharing their talents and perhaps most practically their opinions !

Can't wait for the next one !

Nally

great to meet you! see you next time

I just might! I'm waiting to hear about a job I applied/interviewed for last week, but if I don't hear from them, I think I'm going to come down there... why not, huh?
