Languages in aegir/deployed new sites - How to do it?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I need to deploy several sites in Norwegian (bokmål) and Norwegian (nynorsk) with Aegir, but I am a little confused as to how to localize Drupal sites with the new translation server and Aegir.

What would be the way to do this with aegir? I am new to aegir and a bit confused as to what goes where. So it would be great if someone could come up with some thoughts on this.

Aegir is like Paradontax: once you get used to the taste, you never want to go back. I love drush. It would just be indecent to put into words my appreciation of drush_make.

But language files are a problem. I find myself manually downloading them to a local repository. Has somebody been able to at least bash this part of the process?
My fondest wish for DrupalCon SanFrancisco is for Adrian, Miguel, Dmitri, Gábor and Jose to get together and discuss a best approach: tar-ed or po-ed, generated or fixed, bundled or not.

I haven't tried any

I haven't tried any multilingual sites in Aegir yet but +1 for more info on this. Some of my sites will have to have i18n support and I'm keen to learn more. Slowly I'm wrapping my head around Aegir and drush_make, and absolutely loving the power and flexibility so far.
