O.K., going to try once again to make this one
Of course, it would make sense not to count on that til you see the whites of my eyes... :-)
That said, I am currently working on implementing a picture gallery, so if anyone has experience or wants to give some pointers, that would be cool.
I'd also like to hear about v.7, and what modules are version ready, etc.

Count me in
Hey, everyone, this is worth it for the food alone.
Congratulate me, I finally got approval to redo our company site in Drupal.
Woo hoo!

I'll be there. I've been
I'll be there. I've been contributing things that are on my mind or at least bringing the up.
This week I've been thinking about people. I figure this might fall outside the scope of Drupal itself, however, as these websites become more and more complex the people who interact with them become more and more important, esp. the people who have to manage the content on the websites. The questions and problems I have been dealing with lately are about best practices with managing comments, forums, other user contributed content, editorial work flow, informing a staff about updating and changing structures on a website, inter-office communication, ect.. I've moved from my self-contained world where I could change anything on a whim to a situation where a website effects many different persons' work environment.
I can't expect Drupal users to have the name computer finesse as Drupal developers. User interface and user experience are becoming more and more important.
The other thing I've been thinking about is how to deal with the iPad not supporting Flash. There are a lot of sides to this issue including the idea that this will move web development away from proprietary, heavy apps like Flash to use new and 'open' technologies like HTML5. Since it does effect Drupal developers we might want to discuss this too.

I am landing at FLL at around 4:30 PM...
so if anyone could drive past FLL and pick me up at the airport at around 5 pm, then I think I can make the show. If not, then I am going to be late.
Rescheduled?
Will the meeting be rescheduled, or will we meet on the forth Wednesday of May (i.e. May 26th). If the meetup is rescheduled before May 26th, please do not schedule it on May 12th (second Wednesday of the month is the regular Broward meetup), as that is the date of the Broward Drupal Meetup (see Fort Lauderdale group for details).
Thanks,
Hector
Change of venue for Miami April 28 meetup
I heard that the meetup will take place tonight at a different venue: Incubate Miami (one block from our regular meetup). See details below:
"The Drupal meeting tonight will be at 6:30 pm at Incubate Miami, which is in downtown Miami near the Knight offices.
Incubate Miami is located at 200 Southeast 1st Street, Suite 601, Miami, FL 33131. For more information call (786) 220-7145.

See you all there,
Hector
not sure what happened
I received a reminder email notice yesterday that the meeting was tonight. As of at least a couple days ago, it was listed on the groups.drupal page under events.. Somehow I missed the notice that it had been cancelled, so we biked to the Knight Center downtown. We were told that 2 others had shown up and left before us, heading over to the Knight Center on Biscayne and 15th (I assume they meant 13th), but we didn't find anything there either...
Maybe I'll make the next one...
Cathy
I got the wrong building last month
You were very close - it was moved to only 2 blocks from the Knight Center - in the Ocean Bank building, 6th floor.
We spent most of the time making plans for a Miami Drupal Camp (there should be some posts soon, so feel free to join in before next month's meeting!
Sweet!
DrupalCamp Miami! Excellent! You're got a lot of people up in Central Florida who would be more than willing to help out - just let us know what we can do!
