I'm currently working on a new site for a non-profit organization. I've installed pathauto module to improve seo (i hope) but since I'm still in the development phase, I've been experimenting with it a bit.
my typical setting would be like this:
[type-name]/[m]/[yy]/[title].html
as you can see, I added the ".html" at the end of the settings so url output will be like this:
cat/10/07/my-pet.html
have you heard any pros and cons about adding that ".html" at the end? would love to hear it. thanks

why
sorry if this wont answer your question ... may i know why do you want to end them with .html?
no need for .html
Hi DL,
You don't need to append .html, actually. just using the clean URL is enough to optimize for search engines -- that's based on my experience too :)

actually there is no reason
actually there is no reason behind me adding ".html" except that i wanted people to think it is a static site (hehehe). just wanted to play around with url's and if there is no negative effect with adding ".html" then I would go for it.
