Been a while in the making. First they added a blogging site, to try out Drupal. Then they worked up a combo site where the old site connected with Drupal behind the scenes, which provided a way to do user comments, among other bits. Now, they've entirely switched to a full Drupal run newspaper site.

The new platform also encourages much more reader interactivity. It's built on Drupal, an open-source system that incorporates powerful "social networking" tools. At its heart, Drupal is designed to support member communities with comments, ratings, personal identity management and more. In coming weeks, we'll be rolling out a series of features that take advantage of Drupal's capabilities.
