Drupaldelphia is only 17 days away! We've got a lot to do still!
Here are our biggest needs:
- People to volunteer to lead a session (We only have 5 listed on the site)
- People to promote the event on other groups, websites, mailing lists, flyers in college buildings, etc (We only have 52 people registered - we're shooting for 175)
- Are we offering lunch? If so we need to book a caterer
- Are we creating a T-Shirt? If so we need a design and someone to place the order
Following that, we'll need
- Someone to assemble the sessions into a schedule
- Someone to map the schedule to the specific rooms available (I nominate Chris Hunter?)
- Do we have any volunteers to lead sessions?

I can lead a session. I'm not
I can lead a session.
I'm not sure about the topic just yet but I'm sure I'll think of something...
Caterer is booked!
The caterer has already been booked, we just have to give them a final count. This will be breakfast (coffee and bagels, I think) and lunch (including a vegetarian option).

session format
Hello,
I might be able to do session(s) on ubercart, multisite, or other topics.
What format(s) do you envision for sessions?
short presentations? long presentations? hands-on workshops? testing & coding?

I see from the submission
I see from the submission form that presentations should be about an hour.
Would you consider allowing shorter sessions, or a "session" composed of a set of shorter presentations?

I think "lightning talks"
I think "lightning talks" would be a great idea, and I'd be happy to contribute a 5-10 minute demo if it happens.

Lightning talk
If someone, like say Larry Miller :) were to propose a one-hour lightning talk session, and solicit other people to join it, I think that would be an awesome session. It would fit nicely with the rest of the schedule, and you could probably get four people (three if Larry does one) to offer ten-minute talks and that would make a cool 1-hour session. And if you get more interest, offer 2 sessions.
Sound like a plan?

Consider it

For those unfamiliar with Lightning Talks, the concept is at least 10 years old, and was popularized by Perl luminary and Philadelphian Mark-Jason Dominus. For potential ideas, guidelines, and to sign up to talk for 5 minutes, visit the session page on drupaldelphia.com.

Parking
There is a pay lot that will be open, it costs 5 bucks. Its at the Bright Hope Church, lots of employees and students park there. Since Friday will be the first day after graduation, and there are no classes, it should be fairly empty.
Here's a link
Ok, Bad news, this lot is closed that day, since the last day of finals is Thursday, the 5$ lot is closed. There will be a good bit of street parking that day, since most students will be gone. I'd recommend taking public transit if you can, if you can't, you'll want to arrive by 8:30 if you can, there is usually plenty of parking between 8th and broad on any of the numbered streets, as well as some parking on Cecil B. Moore between 8th and 11th street. I'm going to ask around about pay lots in the area tomorrow, again sorry for the false information.
How about Septa
I'm in Swarthmore and I'm planning on taking SEPTA's R5 regional rail. After the R5 goes through the city the next stop is Temple University and the station is just a few blocks from Alter hall. It takes 35 minutes, should cost about $10 round trip, and I won't have to drive through Philly in rush hour (yeah!)
If you're going from
If you're going from Swarthmore, then I assume you mean the R3?
Yeah, R3...
Yes, you're correct - it's the R3. My bad. Even with the schedule in front of me I goofed it up :-)
New Parking Options
A bit more expensive than street parking (12$) for the day. You have two options, There is the liacourse garage and the USB parking lot.
Liacourse Garage is at 15th and Montgomery
Lot 3 Visitor parking is on Park ave between oxford and cecil b more, one block east of Broad.
