Last year we saw a Drupal discussion at LCA and we also saw Angie Byron come :D there is Open Source Developers Conference as well as Linux Conference in Brisbane this year, maybe we can get some talks, workshops into these conferences which will help raise our profile within the greater Australian FOSS, Open Source community. Would be keen to discuss with anyone?
If we make it our goal as a community to have a greater presence at these national events then we will be on firmer grounds for looking at a Australia Wide conference...
Just my 2cents... but keen to hear what people have to say?
Maybe if people know of some events they can post them? and anyone keen at presenting and talking about Drupal at larger events?
Really the purpose of me starting this discussion is born from the camp discussions held online recently... I was like hmmmmm well what can we do for a greater presence and to build the Drupal brand in Australia so to speak?
