Time Bank is an all-embracing and flexible package which includes a mutual credit engine, transaction forms and displays, including several views and blocks. If you viewed weaver-demo it is pretty much the exact functionality
Features
- Themable transaction form
- offers/wants directory (a simpler module than classified ads)
- global/personal min/max balance limits
- mass payments/debits from ACL role(s) using a csv text file
- visualisation & stats (ACL control, phpgraph or drupal module)
- email notification triggers
- transaction api to interface with payment modules such as (Google, Paypal, ProTX, Authnet, etc) for hard currency to time bank hours based on donation levels
- Designation of donation to charity list via ajax inline search or break up donation amongst many
- Admin payout managagement based on those designations minus transaction handling fees
- Designation of donation to charity list via ajax inline search or break up donation amongst many
- all fields exposed to views?
Usage
This module should be designed for use by community group timebanks with a mutual credit system which tracks credit extended between users.
Contrast with userpoints in which points are awarded to users for their online activity.
Hours module is much simpler than mutual_credit, As the project expands it will meet more business-like objectives.
Warning about Governance
Complementary currencies historically have a very high failure rate. Web tools are no substitute for proper governance and community buy-in. You should be seeking advice from experienced professionals if you don't want to let down people in your community, and the wider movement. Please check out Value for People's Community Currency starter pack or Timebanks.org
Roadmap
6.x & 7.x
1. Develop modules for time bank hours logic
2. Develop views/blocks
3. Extend users account add-on information - hook views block for access roles (guest, user, ambassadors, Non-profit Orgs, Gov't Entities)

Progress?
Is there any code for this module?
I'm also interested.
Hello. Even if there's no code for this project, is there a working plan?
Time Bank Package and modules
Hi, I, we at eCommercium, would be interested in this too.
Updates
You three are the first to even posts to it. It needs a lot of TLC
Very similar to mutual_credit
Almost all of these features, except for the credit card processing, are extremely similar to what mutual_credit offers. Mutual_credit can be extended in very simple or very complex ways, and can accomplish more 'business like' objectives as I have seen. Why not become a maintainer for mutual_credit and bring more professionalism rather than duplicate the effort?
I do agree with rerooting
I was looking the Mutual Credit page (http://drupal.org/project/mutual_credit). So I do agree with rerooting on his proposal. Is an assertive decision to start learning about Mutual Credit module instead of working from 0 with this proposal.
subscribing...
I will be playing around with the mutual credit module and also working on member profiles, classifieds, all that jazz.
With any luck I'll respond to this post with reusable work/examples.
Good luck all!

Any word
Any word of what was going on with this?
Developers
How many of you are willing and able to contribute to developing a drupal package for community time banks?
Earn hours
Hey folks.
Timebanks are really growing in the world today, but they don't have a lot of technical support to facilitate real and substantial growth. As a grassroots movement, there just isn't much money circulating either, and that is really hurting. I am here to see if we can establish trade of hours for solid efforts. I'm thinking of a timebank for programmers to swap skills in a timebanking fashion world wide creating a pool of skills to draw from as well as integration with local timebanks through which programmers can use hours to get plumbing or childcare, or cleaning or lessons of some sort.
Anyway, since I love the concept of Timebanks, I am looking for folks that may wish to discuss this kind of exchange of skill and helping to build the community and supporting components.
I am involved with a new small timebank now, and it is clear that technical assistance will be needed to achieve worldwide popularity without great difficulty to every new Timebank in the present system. http://Battenkill.timebanks.org is the timebank I am a member of right now. They are small and just getting started with the software, and we have nobody locally who seems to know anything about how to work with the system unless they are getting paid. In many cases they seem to want to get paid to learn instead of do, which is even worse without real funds available.
At this point I am just interested in conversation about the issue and trying to work out how to make this whole concept work for everybody who participates. From backend programming to front yard mowing to kitchen painting, there is need for everybody in timebanking. We all have varying needs and skills, let's pool them for our own benefits and help others at the same time.
