The north west Drupal user group will be meeting at MadLab, thanks to MabLab for your continued support!
This month Stephen Mount will be giving a talk on Git which is a "free and open source, distributed version control system designed to handle everything from small to very large projects with speed and efficiency", I copied and pasted that from http://git-scm.com/ I did... :o)
There'll be time if anyone else wants to give a talk, contact me beforehand if you're up for it!
We'll also attempt to cover the latest Drupal news and generally talk about all the cool stuff that's going on in the land of Drupal.
Admission is free and there's the added option of moving on to a nearby pub for refreshment afterwards...
There'll be no mortendk this month, sniff.

Admission is free......
Hello,
The "Admission is free" bit grabbed my attention.....Is it for any Drupal fiend to attend, or do you have to go through some initiation ceremony: tunnel of death, multiple choice, etc...
I drifted into Drupal about 6 months ago, and kind of got a bit OCD about it. I'm not a PHP5 aficionado by any stretch of the imagination, but am learning at a rate as best i can.
Essentially, what I’m asking is "can I come?" There you go, quite convoluted, but yea, can I come?
Cheers,
Paul
Learning Drupal Meetup
Hi Paul
Yay - we'd love you to join our group! Haven't set the date for the next meetup yet but I'll be doing that in the next week or so. We'll have some awesome guest speakers and everyone contributes and shares idea so it's in the true spirit of all things Drupal. Welcome aboard and thanks for finding us.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Paula
Learning Drupal Meetup
Hi Paula,
That sounds brilliant. It would be great to be in an environment with real people, instead of typed conversations. I'd get barred from my local if i started talking about contributed modules and the like. I was considering going to the MadLab tomorrow evening, Fri, but am thinking might be a bit, a lot, over my head at this stage.
Thanks ever so much for getting in touch, and welcoming me aboard, and also, I eagerly await the next meetup!
Yours excitedly,
Paul
