Hey everyone,

Just a friendly reminder that TODAY (Wednesday, July 14) is the date of our monthly Portland Drupal User Group Meeting.

Here is what's on the agenda:

1. "To Cloud or Not to Cloud: That is the Drupal Question" presented by Narayan Newton

In this presentation, Narayan will break down some of the performance issues involved in determining whether to use a cloud provider like Amazon EC2 or Rackspace.... or whether it makes more sense to maintain your own data center hardware.

2. "Git for Drupal (Part I, Git Fundamentals)" presented by Michael Schwern

In this presentation, local git expert Michael Schwern will take you through the fundamentals of using git as a single developer or as part of a larger group--including how to create repositories, add files, clone, commit, fork, branch, and merge.

3. "Coder Upgrade Power Demo" presented by Jon Duell

Need to upgrade a module to Drupal 7? Jon will show you how to do it more efficiently and effectively using the Coder Upgrade module.

For full descriptions of each of the above presentations, you can check out the full meeting announcement here:
