2006-06-29 19:00 - 22:00 US/Pacific Dries and I are going to be in San Francisco next week and we thought it might be fun to have a Drupal meetup.
Where? I don't know.
But Thursday night sounds good! Somewhere in the city. Anyone have suggestions? I'm enabling signups so we can get a head count.

-1 for location... this wasn't what I expected at all. I thought it'd be a more classy bar & grill type place. It was a 2 hour drive for me, but I didn't even find the Drupal group. I thought this was going to be an official Drupal User's Group meeting, so I expected something a lot more professional. In any case, someone should be calling those who RSVP'ed if they don't show up. And a phone number or two for the organizers should also be available. This was my first Drupal meetup, and probably my last.

Yes, in retrospect Zeitgeist is a poor location for 40-50 people. I've never seen it that busy before. We won't make that mistake again. I also realized a bit late how jarring someones 'favorite biker bar' could be to folks coming from out of town. I'm sorry you couldn't find us, we should have put up a sign or handed out a cell phone number, or sayed to look for the tall guy with spiked up blond hair (Dries).
i'd love to come, but alas, i'm currently in europe!
ugh, for the first time that i've been involved in drupal, dries is finally in the bay area, and here i am in germany. bad timing. oh well, i hope y'all have a great time, and show dries some of what our wonderful part of the world has to offer. ;)
