Greetings to all!

For those who dont want to waste time reading a bit of personal story, I have created an api site for aegir @ http://api.aegir.opendrops.com/

Now my little story:

I am amazed at the power of Aegir, having installed it on my dedi and played with it for over a month. When I began trying Aegir last year (alpha3 or 4, cant remember), I had to give up due to various reasons, one because of the complexity with aegir installation.

One year after, so much has changed. Aegir installation process is now as simple as running script while you watch it doing everything for you. (of course, it's bit an exaggeration, you still need to configure a few things manually. However the work has been tremendously reduced). Thanks to the wonderful team backing up Aegir development! Yours is a great work of ART!

I recently upgraded to aegir 0.9 and found a few bugs (I will report them on issue queue) and wanted to see if I can figure out why/where the bug is. Downloading a copy of aegir to my computer, I wanted to study how aegir works, line by line. However, when I looked at the numerous files and the directory tree, I felt like I would not go past one file.

So I wanted first to get a feel of what aegir code looks like. It's directory structure, volume etc etc. For this I felt something like api.drupal.org is a good start. I searched around a bit to see if there is an existing api site for aegir. Unfortunately, there is not one (for reasons like the code being in alpha?) .

So I started my own api site for aegir at http://api.aegir.opendrops.com . I took the code from git respository for hostmaster and provision. I am not sure if this will be useful for the core developers. However, I am sure there is at least one person in this group who wants an easy interface to look at aegir code. And I am opening this site for that 'at least one person' who will benefit.

The site is open for registration (use /user) and anybody is welcome to comment on the code and help the community (beginners in aegir) to understand the code and who inturn can contribute to the aegir development. I can provide the sql backup of the site to the future official api site, if that is of any use for them.

Thanks for your time,
neokrish
