It looks like the organizer of the Ahmedabad group is no more interested in maintaining this group since it doesn't do much for his/her business. kindly pass the administration to some other deserving group member.

What sort of maintaining are you suggesting that is not happening?
Who would be ideal for it?

Well, we are not promoting company in the group, right? I wonder after this group has been created some one might have changed the mission statement of the group intentionally. No one would be interested in a company's promotion.

Original subject is Organizer is not interested, company is not benefiting, etc which was not correct. Your reply was more along the lines of proposed changes in group overall topic and this has been done.
I sort of agree with you that the promotion language was bit heavy.
Still - if anyone thinks someone local in Ahmedabad has done notable work in promoting Drupal and wants to help in organizing Drupal events, would love to add as organizer.
Just so that you are aware of, this group was formed around First Drupal Camp that was held at DA-IICT.
