Hi All!
I'm moving to Guelph on September 1st and looking for recommendations regarding high speed internet service providers. I don't need phone or TV. Just fast and reliable internet with as few restrictions or caps as possible.
I'm in Montreal now and use Videotron which has been great. It's very fast and reliable. It is a little expensive but I don't mind paying a little more for quality service.
So, if you have an ISP that you would like to recommend, I'm all ears!
Thanks and I hope to meet some of you at the next event.
Eric

Teksavvy.com
Hi Eric
We just moved from KW to London and had to choose a provider as well, I was with Rogers (and reasonably happy BTW) until they got stupid with my account, now we are using Teksavvy for phone and Internet (DSL). So far so good but it has been less than 24 hours :-) BTW: It looks like I'm saving something in the order of $35/month over Rogers. I know it is available in Milton and KW, I assume Guelph as well.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the recommendation. I will check them out.

Check KWLUG too
You may want to check the KWLUG too. There are people there from Guelph and it is a larger pool of people.
You can ask on the mailing list there http://kwlug.org/node/404

Rogers it is...
I believe I checked every cable internet provider in Guelph and it appears Rogers is the only one providing High Speed cable internet. Unfortunately, Teksavvy doesn't provide cable in Guelph and Bell only provides 6Mbps max.
If you can wait...
TekSavvy is bringing cable to the Kitchener-Waterloo region in the "August-September" timeframe. I'm waiting for them to get done too so I can switch.
Cheers,
Eric
