There seems to be some interest in this. I will plan on a 5-10 minute presentation. We'll cover handling a few different site contexts and using the inline editor to do drag and drop block placement directly in the page view (rather than at a separate admin UI). It's a bit heavy with Chaos tools underneath, and another necessary admin module--but for handling dozens to hundreds of blocks, its incredible.
I have not yet touched D7. I hope someone will be able to show off some of its bells and whistles.

The meeting was a lot of fun and I enjoyed hearing and seeing what everyone there was doing, working on, thoughts on the future of Drupal etc. I look forward to another meeting in December/January or whenever we can manage one. A shout out to Tag New Media for letting us use their space!

We had some lively discussion of the merits and flaws of Drupal7, with some side tangents into what RDF was about, and the utility of the features & patterns modules.
I'm definitely excited for more such meetings. I think the first week in December would work or mid-late January is fine, too.

It's wonderful to be back in VT and find that I can have constructive conversations with other open source people in the area. I think bi-monthly or quarterly meet ups would serve us well.
I'd love to attend vt drupal meetups! I've been learning Drupal on my own fro two/three years and it seems like the best way to speed up this learning curve would be to simply hang out and listen to what others are working on. Is Burlington where most folks reside? I'd be coming from Plainfield(montpelier).

It was great, favorite part was the keynote by usability expert Josh Porter, he gave a great presentation on Metric Based Design. Dries was also good and indirectly admitted that design is just as if not more important then engineering these days...

That said, I just talked to Joe Golden at the VT 3.0 Tech Jam today, and we'd like to plan another VT Drupal User group meeting. I'll start a new thread for that.
