Drupal to Wordpress anyone?

Hey everyone.

Has anyone converted a Drupal site to Wordpress? (Yes I'm aware that's not the way we roll around here :))

I have a site I need to bid on that has about a dozen content types, about 25 views, about 450 pages, 100 people, and a custom theme that would all need to be converted/migrated to an existing Wordpress site.

Thanks,

Dan

Silicon Valley Drupal User Group Meetup Tomorrow: Automating the Migration Process

Tomorrow evening at 7:00 PM, myself and Heron Heron Ordoñez of Nvidia will be presenting our notes on how we were able to achieve a complex Drupal 6 to 7 migration with roughly two minutes of website downtime.

We'll be covering the migration from both a Drupal standpoint, and what was needed on the server side to achieve this near 100% automation. The Drupal 7 site architecture was built from scratch during the migration process using a script and features/custom modules. We'll also be discussing how to use multithreading with Drupal.

We believe with large software application that needs to be developed and maintained over a long period of time would require automated testing.

Challenge: Currently unit testing with Drupal 7 is not supported very well majorly because of its dependence on a persistent DB connection and lack of dependency injection.

    Event type:

Come to GoDaddy in Sunnyvale or see https://plus.google.com/events/c11cab0smpf15g38j6da704kfa8 for the Hangout that begins on Wednesday at 7pm.

Will too many Drupalers spoil the spin? Will Drupal 8 alone (no modules added) be sufficient? Is Beta 12 good enough to stand up for this? Are we crazy???

    Be there and see.
