Become a Drupal developer. Live project-based class created by Acquia Certified Drupal Grand Master - now accessible online!
I am a Technical Architect working at Acquia who has attained the Drupal Grand Master certification. Over 5 semesters, my team and I have taught and refined a career-changing Drupal development course at Debug Academy ( http://debugacademy.com ) in the greater Washington D.C. area. For the first time, this course is accessible entirely online, with classes taught live out of Portland, OR. It will be taught by Robert Foley, the Director of Technology at The Mighty Guild, who I have had the pleasure of working with on one of Acquia's largest projects.Read more

Has anyone converted a Drupal site to Wordpress? (Yes I'm aware that's not the way we roll around here :))
I have a site I need to bid on that has about a dozen content types, about 25 views, about 450 pages, 100 people, and a custom theme that would all need to be converted/migrated to an existing Wordpress site.
Hello Drupal Users,

Tomorrow evening at 7:00 PM, myself and Heron Heron Ordoñez of Nvidia will be presenting our notes on how we were able to achieve a complex Drupal 6 to 7 migration with roughly two minutes of website downtime.
We'll be covering the migration from both a Drupal standpoint, and what was needed on the server side to achieve this near 100% automation. The Drupal 7 site architecture was built from scratch during the migration process using a script and features/custom modules. We'll also be discussing how to use multithreading with Drupal.Read more
The Stanford Drupal Camp is a two-day event to discuss and learn about Drupal, an open-source content management system that powers thousands of websites at Stanford, and millions of websites beyond.
This year, the Stanford Drupal Camp emphasizes introductory sessions focused on content strategy as well as thought-provoking sessions for researchers in academia. Those new to Drupal and Content Strategy will be particularly interested in the events on Friday, whereas experienced Drupallers (yes, we spell it with two "L"s at Stanford) may be more interested in Saturday's program.Read more

We believe with large software application that needs to be developed and maintained over a long period of time would require automated testing.
Challenge: Currently unit testing with Drupal 7 is not supported very well majorly because of its dependence on a persistent DB connection and lack of dependency injection.Read more
We are going to bring up a fully functional Drupal 8 site in one hour! 'We' means you, too. Online audience participation will also be via Google Hangouts On Air. Come to GoDaddy in Sunnyvale or see https://plus.google.com/events/c11cab0smpf15g38j6da704kfa8 for the Hangout that begins on Wednesday at 7pm.
Will too many Drupalers spoil the spin? Will Drupal 8 alone (no modules added) be sufficient? Is Beta 12 good enough to stand up for this? Are we crazy???
Be there and see.Read more
I have a potential client that wants to accept credit cards on-site. Anyone on this site have experience making a site PCI-compliant at whatever level is needed to do this?
If yes, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I need help in 1) estimating how much extra this part will cost; 2) if you're available to work on this in the upcoming months.
This meeting will be broadcast over Google Hangouts On Air. See the MeetUp link for details.
Our Speaker is Aimee Degnan, a co-founder of Hook 42, an author of the upcoming book on Multilingual for Drupal 8, and a contributor to the Drupal 8 multilingual initiative.
