This Drupal group is organized by the Drupal Association Switzerland and is for everyone working with the open source content management system & framework Drupal.
We invite back-end & front-end developers same as site builders, content editors, designers, business owners, project managers, usability experts, community enthusiasts and basically everyone interested in Drupal and the web to join us.

This is going to be a very exciting meeting end of November 2014 in Conatance: Matthias Walti from Switzerland is going to present all about Panopoly - a Drupal distribution that claims you can "build a house and get started at the 10th floor."

Switch the Switch: Information über .ch Domain Wechsel bei Amazee Labs
Wahrscheinlich habt ihr es bereits gehört: Switch darf nicht mehr als Domain Name Registrar und Domain Name Registry gleichzeitig agieren.
Gemäss der neuen Verordnung des Bundesrates für Internet-Domains darf Switch ab dem 1. Januar 2015 nicht mehr in ihrer Doppelrolle als Domain Name Registry und Domain Name Registrar agieren.
Deswegen gibt sie auf diesen Termin das Geschäftsfeld als Domain Name Registrar auf; dies hat Folgen für alle Personen und Firmen, die eine .ch Domain bei Switch registriert haben - sie müssen den Registrar wechseln.

First Friday D8 Contrib Sprint
Drupal 8 is near to Beta. One final Beta blocker patch is RTBC, one needs review. This is one of the last chances you will get to start with Drupal early and be well prepared.
Also a lot happened in contrib, but it's still a long way to go to have everything ready. That's why the next First Friday Contrib Sprint is coming up again!
Friday September 5th we will meet again to push Contrib Modules for Drupal 8.
Many contribs are well progressed. Others need polishing or feature completion to make everyone happy.
Less common module might need someone to start with.
