Read moreTop .ch Drupal Websites
Hey guys,
I used to run this for South Africa (where I'm from) and recently expanded the script to include other countries.
http://top-websites.burtronix.co.za/drupal/switzerland/2013-08-15
That's a list of the most accessed .ch Drupal websites in Switzerland by the Swiss, ranked. It's a weekend project labour of love, so don't be too hard on it ;-)
It uses top sites data I purchase from Amazon/Alexa, strips out all non-.ch domains, then runs Wappalizer (github-hosted JSON analysis logic) against the top sites to determine which runs Drupal.
Kind regards,
Riaan

South African looking for work in Europe
Hi everybody,
My name is Henno Gous, and I am a qualified industrial engineer and Drupal web developer from South Africa. I will be moving to Europe with my wife in in March/April 2014 and I'm looking for work. The actual location where I find a job will probably determine where we move to... we're open for suggestions :)
I'm currently finishing my Ph.D in industrial engineering, focussing on innovation management. I have also worked as an internet strategist, business analyst and web developer over the last 6 years and I have extensive knowledge of the Drupal platform.

INVITATION to participate with the "Drupal Events" D8 Module Sprint
D8 is stable and developed enough to start working on module development. Needless to say that it is the modules that make Drupal so powerfull. Therefore it is logic that we need to start thinking about the many modules that make a Drupal site great.
Therefore, we like to organize a sprint to get a large group of developers, testers, documenters etc... together, working on porting - as many as possible - popular modules to D8 such that these are available from the earliest moments on.
Drupal 8 Readyness sprint
Drupal 8 is almost here. Almost...
It’s time to participate the effort and start understand what this all means for you!
We are preparing the future and sit together this friday to discuss about the core status, how things start to settle down, debate missing things and how to deal with it. Everyone is invited to participate.
Some will push Core issues on entity API, multilingual stuff or get started with Twig.
