accessibility evaluation

Karl Groves, who has developed a highly useful automated accessibility evaluation tool, is looking for a Drupal developer who can build a plugin for that tool, tenon.io.

Where Karl said "plugin," I am sure he means "custom module." So if module development is your thing and you would like to help more Drupal sites become more accessible, send an email to karl@tenon.io.

I am trying to find Drupal developers in the Toronto area that hold Vendor of Record (VOR) status with the Ontario Public Service (OPS).

Not much to say here, but perhaps this would be a good place to hash out what we know and need to know about doing accessibility tests on ARIA-based interfaces. It's a real challenge.

A good place for background information is Jared Smith's presentation at the November 2009 Accessing Higher Ground Conference, Accessibility of Rich Internet Applications.

In the last summer term I had a course on web accessibility here on the University of Linz (Austria). Unfortunately there is only one really useful resulting project. I made Drupal7 the topic of all exercises.
In the attached project you can find testing and some redesign suggestions (without any php coding). The project is limited to only 6 sample pages, but it could be interesting. The student has allowed to publish his results for Drupal community.
