Icecast integration
While looking for a place to contribute some Icecast-related code on drupal.org, I found a pre-existing but inactive Icecast project. sanduhrs graciously allowed me to dump my drupal 6 YP directory module in here, and what I'd like to do is repurpose the project as a general container for Icecast-related modules. Record keeping is now a requirement for radio stations who are web streaming. The basics of the rules are spelled out at the CBI website. While not many are happy with the requirement, I would like to suggest that this might be a place to start forming the necessary tools to meet this requirement.

After accidentally deleting half the OS and database for the KPSU archive server, I've been documenting the process of setting up station archive server under FreeBSD. So far, I've written up configuring the recording and encoding of audio from the soundcard with darkice, streaming the audio with icecast2, installing MySQL, Apache, and Drupal. Now I'm working on documenting the setup of StreamRipper and the station archive module.
