ULT or similar for referee assignment?

I'm trying to put together a website for our local AYSO region to manage team, field, and division organization. ULT is awesome so far for all of that. One important piece of the puzzle is referee assignment, which does not appear to be a function of ULT.

Here's what I am trying to do for referee assignment:
- User accounts may be added to "referee" group (already got this)
- User profiles may specify referee certification level/age group (already got this)

Add commerce to existing D7 site for player registration

hi everyone! i have just been tasked to add commerce capabilities to an existing D7 site. i need to add the capability for parents to pay online for their children's little league registrations. has anyone done anything similar and does anyone have any recommendations.

basically the requirements include:

  • i need the parents to be able to register on to many children (i can limit the number to 5 or 6 since no one has that many if it makes it easier)
  • the player registration costs drop $20 for each child (i.e. 1st child $140, 2nd $120, 3rd $100 and so forth)

Is extending entities an option?

After attending DrupalCon Chicago, I heard a lot about the Entity system in Drupal 7. Entities seem to be an abstraction layer that covers nodes, users, taxonomies and the like.

Does anyone know if you could extend an entity type to represent players, teams, leagues, and stats? I don't think mixing those "entities" with nodes is the solution, but I don't know enough about the new entity system to comment, yet.

Anyone for a small, fun, and informal dodgeball tournament at Drupalcon Copenhagen? Would be a fun way to hang out with fellow fit (or not so fit) drupal peeps.

I will make sure we have a court to play in and a ball if anyone is interested.

If you have not heard of Drupalcon CPH go check out http://cph2010.drupal.org now :)

SportsML-G2 data from XML Team

Hi everyone. My name is Paul Kelly, Dir. of Operations for XML Team, providers of xml sports data and data-integration solutions.

If you want to get SportsML-G2-formatted data from XML Team you have a number of options (each advantage applies disadvantage of the others):

1) Create an account at Sportso (http://www.sportso.com). From there you can generate and syndicate SportsML-1 files. We have a (for now, Windows-only) reciever available here:

ResultsAPI - a Drupal API & module for sports events & more

In http://groups.drupal.org/node/13804#comment-47194 I allready proposed my module idea of a general sport result and tournament management/calculation. Therefore I thought about a database/API that should provide saving and deriving necessary data and additional information and relations.

Today I started to work on the module. Below you can look at the database-structure and some short description about the main idea.

Footy Tipping module

Looking for mad, Aussie, footy-loving, Drupal developers.

I've made a project out of a football (soccer) tipping module that was initially developed by tenrapid. I plan to extend this module to support Australian Rules foot tipping.

This is a hobby for me, no deadlines or nuffin'. If you are interested in this project - and when I say "interested" I potentially mean "rabidly passionate" - please contact me or respond here.
