education universites

I work at a university and we're starting to look for products to have a sitewide CMS (single site or multi site still being debated). I work in admissions and I was wondering if anyone around here has any experience in using Drupal to manage Online Applications, messaging and other pertinent activities related to the Admissions Application process. It'd be nice to hear views of users w.r.t. this approach and any pointers to universities currently using this setup.

I'm curious if anybody has managed any kind of integration between PowerSchool and Drupal, or looked into it? I would be satisfied with read-only access to PowerSchool data on class assignments that could be displayed for an organic group. Is it possible to query PowerSchool's Oracle DB directly?

Hi folks. I'm trying to build an argument for using Drupal as a CMS at our University. I've found some examples over at the Drupal.org site. They tend to be deparment oriented. Do you have more examples that are for an entire Univeristy or at least a College, Law or Grad school? Department sites are ok but bigger sites are more convincing
