Drupal as LMS Initiative GSOC2012

Drupalcon was a great leep forward for education. Drupal is taking off in k-12, university and private sector training usage for the delivery of educational materials. A mixed group of people passionate about education and training got together for a learning management system (LMS) BoF at Drupalcon. Chamfer Theme released

Just figured I'd drop a line here. The first theme to be published on drupal.org as a result of the ELMS project has been released. It'd be nice to hear views of users w.r.t. this approach and any pointers to universities currently using this setup.

Any suggestions for using Drupal to do this?

Hi, this is just a question seeking for suggestions. For classroom teaching receiving students' submission on an essay assignment, grading the essay with comments, and then returning the comments back to students is something very time consuming. I am thinking to ask students to post their essays as a (book page, story, blog...?) to course Drupal site, and I will use Adding Comment to write feedback so that there will be no email, download, attach, etc tasks.
