Hello there,

The "pre-conference" part of our communication plan is nearly over now. The objectives were to gather individuals at the conference (this one was easy), invite journalists/bloggers during the conference (mainly locals + media partners) and use the location of the conference as a purpose to talk about Drupal in France (great success so far). The main information that we had to communicate was "Hey, there is a Drupal conference, it is going to be great..." ;-)

Now, we will have to surf on the event to launch the "conference" and "post-conference" part of the plan. This is when we will have the main added value information to communicate, we will be able to tell the world what was so great about the conference.

Hatte beim letzten Treffen schon mal in die Runde gefragt, aber bis jetzt hab ich nur von Flo gehört das er nach Paris fährt.
Und da der eigentlich eher Cologne vertritt... :-)

Also noch einmal die Frage: wer aus Berlin fährt hin und wann?

I haven't seen any plans for a DrupalUK meet up, so what do you want to do?

Koumbit is flying to Drupalcon! We haven't settled yet on lodging and we heard there was the possibility of getting lodging by renting a flat instead of rooms in a ho(s)tel. It can get pretty cheap, and it's better than the hostel: without looking too far, I found a flat for 4 people (2 in the living room, 2 in the bedroom, so that means sharing beds) for around 100 euros/day (which means 25 euros/person/day, which is pretty cheap for paris).

Congratulations to our local Nebraskan, boombatower (Jimmy Berry) for being named one of the recipients of a DrupalCon Paris 2009 scholarship! If anyone else on the scholarship list is from Nebraska and I missed you, please let me know ASAP.
