DrupalChix

All this import/export malarky is actually part of a problem I identified many years ago, while writing FAPI.
FAPI in it's current state was always meant to be the first phase in a much larger project to fix a lot of the inherent design problems we have been bumping heads against now.
If the code looks 'non-drupal like' to you, keep in mind when this presentation was done, FAPI itself was new, and such sweeping changes still had an opportunity of being taken seriously. Unfortunately I suffered from burnout shortly afterwards, and extracted myself from doing serious core development.

Read morethemercon
Over at the Drupal event organizing group there is a discussion about having a separately branded themercon in Paris.
Is there interest for this? Since there is so much energy in this group, maybe there are people who want to chime in and offer help to the Paris organizers?

This is just a note to say that I've just returned from Drupalcon DC.
It was a pretty amazing conference, and one of my favorites so far (I still have a soft spot for Barcelona).
Like Szeged, the video team at DCDC were very on the ball, and had the videos up the same day as the presentation.
You can catch the Aegir presentation on archive.org.
Why use Drupal? (My video recap of DrupalCon)
Hi DrupalChix!
I just got back from my first DrupalCon, and had the BEST time!! I don't think I got to meet many of you in person, so I'm saying hi now, and will be more active here in the future :)
Here's the link to my video (less than 2 min):

I'm on a drupal high after the conference, and am now trying to get new people excited about drupal too.
Hope you guys managed to avoid the drupal plague!

Radio BoF at Drupalcon?
Garrett congrats on the launch of KHUM. We're knee deep in developing a Drupal radio distribution for public media stations as part of our work on a Knight grant for the News Challenge. We are also using the current release of station but finding that we need to make modifications based our needs as it relates to shows and the schedule display.
