integration

This has been in the works for a while, but now it’s official: http://openacademic.org

This is an open source project designed to integrate Elgg, Drupal, Moodle, and Mediawiki. All code that fuels the integration will be released back to the community.

The project is a collaborative venture between the Elgg team and FunnyMonkey.

In the next few weeks, we’ll be building out the infrastructure to support the project, including a development site to centralize the integration discussions and coding, as well as a svn repository for the codebase.

Trac[1] and JIRA[2] seem to be likely candidates whenever software development projects need issue tracking, revision control, and wiki-esque functionality all integrated nicely. Trac is itself open source, and JIRA, while not open, is at least free for open source projects to use[3].

Right now there is just a powerpoint, the interesting stuff about integration and features added starts about slide 20. We'll have demo accounts set up pretty soon, and will also publish the documentation from the process in the next few weeks.

Anybody has some success story about integration of Moodle and Drupal?

There is module for drupal and moodle for one sign-in, but maybe somebody went further?

Integration of Civicspaces + Moodle + Elgg + new Drupal modules.(without LDAP)

1. Moodle, Drupal, Civicrm, Civicspace and Elgg working together with priority for Drupal as main framework.
2. Moodle, Civicrm, Elgg and Civiclabs working as modules at the Drupal with rich possibilities for customizing settings.

2.1. Moodle integration (for example):

• settings of Moodle in drupal/administer/modules.
• Layout template (CSS) for Moodle and Drupal with keeping specific interface for Drupal and Moodle
• Rebuilding user.module from drupal for some specific information from Moodle, for example: enrolled courses, pm, teacher or student, last login, information from Moodle/gradebook module etc.
