static content

Hi,

I wanted to get feedback about whether releasing our module sounds like a good idea.

Our company has developed a module that publishes static Drupal nodes to S3 as they are saved or during a full site crawl. We've used this on a few projects where there is a need to cope with large traffic spikes (e.g. websites that support TV broadcasts) and where the content is relatively simple but there is still a need for content management. So quite niche but hopefully useful to some.

I have a site from Pressflow D6 platform that I need to verify to use Google Apps with that domain. The site verification, requires to place a generated .html file under the root folder of that domain (in my case, under ../pressflow/sites/mysite/ ) . The .htacess of Octopus however prevents me from accessing that file (page not found). I googled around but the only thing I found is non Drupal sites and static files outside the distro folders. Can anyone suggest an easy way to deal with it?

I'm developing a site for a local restaurant. I'm using drupal because they wanted to easily modify things like daily specials and menus. I'm currently going through the process of reworking the bluemarine theme to fit my design. They have no interest in having user logins for people who are really just going there to check out the menu and the phone number.

I am giving a presentation in the morning and am looking for a rumoured install profile for churches. There is a reference in an earlier posting and now it appears to be dead.

Anybody have an clues?
