Get a free Drupal site built by University of Michigan grad students

We am seeking clients for a class at the University of Michigan School of Information. Students in this class break into teams to build Drupal websites.

We have about 30 students in the class this winter, so we need 10 sites to create.

That’s where you come in.

Do you know anyone that needs a site (re)built that would be a good candidate for our students?

Horizontal scrollbar always showing

Hi,
Could somebody please help me here - I've got a new church website coming up. It runs on a Fusion/Aquia Marina template, but the horizontal scrollbar is always showing, and you scroll really far...
This breaks the site on iPads etc.
I have looked and looked in the html but can't find any weird css.
I have posted questions in Fusion and Aquia Marina project pages, but no help there. So now I turn to you..!
The (still a test) site is at http://kristentf.openusource.com (it's in Danish in case you wonder).
Thanks in advance!

How much site storage does a church website need due to sermons?

I'm considering rebuilding our church's website, but haven't worked with audio much in Drupal. The most important resource on the site will be its sermon library. Considering the fact there will be a new 30-40 minute sermon on the site every week, I was hoping that experienced church website builders could give me an idea of how audio file storage affects how you approach site hosting, performance, etc...

Utilizing Organic Groups

Hi,

I am trying to utilize organic groups for a group in my church. I would like this to be a private group and have members able to post content, comments, questions, etc.

I have it pretty much setup, however, in order to allow individuals to post content, I've had to give them permission to use the administrative toolbar. This caused me to create a new role (outside of OG).

Is there a better way to accomplish this? Am I really heading in the right direction?

Issue Tracking In The Church

I'm wondering if anyone out there has any experience using any of the Drupal issue tracking modules in a church context. I've looked over this Project Management/Issue Tracking page here http://groups.drupal.org/node/17948 and I like the features of Storm. I'm a little distressed by the lack of a stable Drupal 7 version, but other than that it looks really good.

OpenChurch apps.js

I'm getting an error that I don't understand. I'm using the beta 1 version of openchurch, but it was happening when I was on the alpha 3 version as well. I'm not sure it is really an openchurch issue. I've created an issue report, but I thought I'd ask here as well.

The error is:

There was the following error - Manifest: http://173.254.28.25/~njumccom/?q=profiles/openchurch/apps.js Not Found

Openchurch & Story Content

Hi All,

Just purchased a new account for our church. For years I've been hosting our church website on my personal account.

Anyway, I installed OpenChurch and now have it setup (default setup) and have a question. I notice in OpenChurch there isn't a 'story' content type. Right now we are on a Drupal 6 implementation. We put our newletter on the website and use the story content type. I have two things I was hoping to do:

1) Continue to use "story" to do the newsletter articles and
2) have an easy way to export the data in our old site and import it into the new site.
