The next Brisbane Drupal meetup is here again and we are excited to announce a presentation by Chris this month.

Chris will be presenting three mini-talks to demonstrate some of the more interesting Drupal things he's been working with of late:

• Sending notifications to your site users, not just with email but also via SMS and even extended to other communication tools such as twitter.

Welcome to the second Brisbane Drupal Meet-up for 2010.

Jeff from Marmaladesoul will be presenting on "Build a basic Drupal site". If you're interesting in seeing the basic building blocks of Drupal in action, a little CSS and some module config, come along! He plans to build an actual site from scratch during the course of the night… should be an interesting evening!

Come and join us for the first Brisbane Drupal Meet up of the year. We will be discussing the coming Brisbane and Queensland wide events and are asking for everyone's idea's on what they would like to see happen at our monthly meetups in 2010.

PLEASE NOTE: We aim to have the Brisbane Drupal Meetings on the first Tuesday of every month and a Saturday event quarterly. All dates will be posted in advance so keep an eye out for dates as they come up!

The October Brisbane Drupal meetup is coming up on Tuesday 27th October. This meet-up will be an informal social get-together. Previous social meet-ups have been popular, and this one will similarly be a great chance to chat with others who understand your Drupal passion :)

The next Brisbane Drupal meetup is on Wednesday 7th October. We've pushed this one back from our usual timeslot of the last Tue/Wed of the month, due to availability of Tim, our presenter at this one.

I've asked Tim to speak on Microsoft Livewriter technology which integrates with Drupal using XMLRPC and makes it possible to insert HTML markup into node bodies, presenting an interesting way around the problem of Javascript-based solutions such as TinyMCE, which most developers have grown to hate.

Drupal Developers Unite! The next Brisbane Drupal meetup is going to be a code sprint — come and play "Bug Bingo". For those with the skills: come prepared to code collaboratively; for all others: feel free to come along and watch, learn and catch up with fellow Drupalers.
