Looking for a "Guest Expert" for online study group

Our online study group, http://drupalistasgroup.com, meets via Skype for 1 hr on Monday nights. We concept a module & then create it. Each week we add to the complexity of the module. Then we go forth and create! When we meet again on the next Monday we share code and process. It has been quite the enlightening process!!

Begining a virtual co-learning group

Hey all...

Last year a group of us started a virtual study group to learn how to make custom modules. We had a handful of people join the group. It was fun and I, personally, learned a lot. I'm still not an expert, but I know more than I did then.

LAMP on Virtual Machine, files and development environment in the host (Windows)

I know that Quickserver it's meant to have the dev environment also in the Virtual Machine, but I'm finding more suitable for my case to have the dev environment on Windows.

So I still use LAMP stack, Drush, Aegir, and all that *nix tools that come already with Quickserver but the files and development environment is Windows 7.

Other alternative I was considering is to have a separate dev machine on your LAN instead of a Virtual Machine and share files over the network.
