Looking for a Boston-based Drupal tutor!

Hi There -

Am looking to hire a tutor to meet quasi-regularly for help learning Drupal and PHP. Or, if there's enough interest, maybe a class? Maybe both?

Any help finding someone would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Lee

Moderation in drupal - code attached!

I've made some modifications to the nmoderation module to allow for indymedia style moderation in drupal. It isn't ideologically 'nice' mainly due to the way parts of the drupal core are implemented. I have contacted the author of nmoderation about getting the patches into the module, but he hasn't responded, so we might want to look at forking it into a seperate moderation module - people's thoughts?

Instructions:
1) install drupal. 4.7.3 (or possibly a later 4.7 branch). I think CVS/4.8 changes a few fundamentals, so this is unlikely to work.

2) install the following modules: nmoderation, views, votingapi, taxonomy_block. You will want others for other IMC functionality; these are the ones you need for moderation and access of moderated content.

Your experience with Drupal

It would be nice if all the interns could write a couple paragraphs on themselves, what they then of the internship (till now) and on the drupal community

I would like to post this on www.drupal.in for others to see. Just to show others we are still active.

Mal schauen, welches CMS "gewinnt". ;-)

Wer nähere Infos zu den verwendeten Kriterien oder zum Fortgang der Arbeit haben möchte, kann mir gerne mailen.

Ciao,

Intro, plus a few thoughts and questions

Thanks, Steve, for taking the lead on starting this group.

It was a great relief to me to find such a wide-ranging and enthusiastic group of drupal users, developers and hosts at the NTEN happy hour-- especially since neither Drupal, CMS, not even websites were mentioned as topics for the gathering. Meeting you and the others bolstered my belief that a users group here in the Twin Cities would be beneficial. Let's use this Drupal Group to discuss how best to start and maintain one.

For starters, let me briefly introduce my interest in Drupal/this group (perhaps more personal, longer profiles can be part of another section of this group?):

Drupal seo mistakes

Hello

Drupal seo mistakes - I start this thread

http://drupal.org/node/67767

Yet another drupal mistakes

1 - Admins can't control how the title of (between tags) the taxonomy and the vocabulary of his website.

The title module make a good job as we can change the title of every node, not for taxonomies and vocabularies, google gives priority to Title and description metatags.

http://drupal.org/project/page_title

If you just install the node keyword module, 2 - you need to edit your taxonomy and vocabulary terms to add description, that will make a good result in next google update...

Import some of the info at http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Devel/ImcDrupalDev

Given how unreliable docs.indymedia.org has been - maybe we should move some of the information over to this group.
Also it would give everyone here a chance to comment on the work done so far.

What does everyone else think ?

Regards,
Isaac

Milwaukee Meeting at Potbelly's

Start:
2006-08-24 17:00 - 19:00 America/Chicago

Erich and I plan to meet next week at Potbelly's sandwich shop (at 161 W Wisconsin Ave), to discuss Drupal 4.6/4.7 configuration and setup, CCK, theme overrides, and custom themes.

We know very little about all these subjects, but we will combine our ignorance into something truly amazing.

Come join us, and we can add your knowledge, introduce ourselves, and broaden the scope of the meeting to include any topic you care to bring up.
