Extending Drupal with the Dojo Toolkit module
I'll be showing off the brand new Dojo Module that super-charges your Drupal website. The Dojo Toolkit is an open source, Javascript toolkit that does virtually everything from Ajax to widgets. I'll introduce the Dojo Toolkit, how to configure the module, how Dojo enhances Drupal, and most importantly, how to use Dojo in your own content, modules, & themes.
The presentation will be fairly fast paced and contain a lot of information, so be ready! :)

Building a Community Site with Drupal
We've all seen great Drupal-powered community membership sites, but how do you actually put one together?
At this month's TC Drupal meeting, we'll eat our own dog food and put together a site of our own at www.tcdrupal.org. We'll build member profiles, interest groups, and both mass and discussion email solutions. You'll learn how to expand on Drupal's native functionality with new staples such as CCK, Views, OG and Bio.

What the Drupal community really needs is a taste of what can be accomplished by winter-hardened Minnesotans. Let's get together and show our stuff at the World-wide Drupal groups bug hunt.
Now is a good time to start forming a strategy. Please use the comments here to point out some of your interests and areas of expertise. Don't worry if you're not a Drupal or programming genius. This is a great way to learn from others, and people of all skill levels can benefit the process

You have seen the propaganda, you've admired the handiwork on large and small Drupal sites, and you are ready to get started! You download the tarball, followed the installation instructions, and are now sitting at a page that reads "Welcome to Drupal!".
Now what?
For our second Twin Cities Drupal meeting, we'll be covering the basics of getting a Drupal site off the ground. An experienced Drupal pro will provide a quick rundown of how to get started, and then we'll discuss some of the modules we can't live without.
Bring questions, tips and ideas of your own!

We may or may not be able to find a time where a good number of us can physically get together and hunt down bugs as robertdouglas suggests. Getting together over Skype, Ventrillo, or Teamspeak, or Chat would be easier. Does anyone want to host a code-a-thon?

So - Why Not Get Together and Do Something?
This group's been around for a while now, and we have 15 members.
I think it's time we try to get together to have a Twin Cities Drupal Meeting.
Since I'm probably as far out of town as anyone on the list, I'm open to suggestions for a meeting place and time. Actually, I'm BEGGING for suggestions for a meeting place and time.
And - anyone want to suggest a topic? David Geilhufe has suggested the possibility that I give a presentation of how CivicSpace on Demand works. So I'll throw that out as a possibility.
