Drupal Meetup: Component Driven Theming
Heard about Component Driven Design, but aren't really sure what the big deal is? This talk is for you! Developers and Themers alike can benefit from using components in their workflow. Much like how Drupal uses modules to separate and reuse distinct code patterns, components allow us to do something similar for the front-end. Component Driven Theming is Component Drive Design meets Drupal!
In this Talk we’ll be Covering
- What components are
- Why we use components
- Building a component library / styleguide
- Bringing it all together in Drupal
Drupal Meetup: Scaling Drupal with Docker
Docker promises us the ability to develop our Drupal sites on our local, and deploy to identical environments in staging and production.
An ideal setup would let us configure a new local environment in a matter of minutes, and automate testing and deployment.
Architecting applications using containers should enable us to deploy sites which can automatically scale to handle high peak traffic.
Djun will discuss about his experiences trying to realize these dreams, starting from the simplest examples.
