This month's presentation will outline the presenter's recent experiences in using Behat, Mink, and the Behat Drupal extension for functional website testing, including why they choose it and their experiences to date. We will be learning about how dependency injection works in Drupal 8, and how to create and use our own services in the Service Container. We'll build a small module that provides a service and uses it to create a page in Drupal. In the process we'll look at PSR-4 namespaces, and extending core Drupal classes. Doug was heavily indebted to Drupalize.Me, whose tutorials on these subjects were responsible for many 'Aha!' moments while he was learning Drupal 8.
