User group meeting
The next Perth Drupal Meetup will be held on Tuesday 7 December at the office of Bouncing Orange at 4/444 Beaufort Street (Google Maps). We'll get some snacks and drinks (any requests?) and we'd like to have some talks and discussions.
We'll need to see what people are interested in (please leave a comment if you'd like to hear or talk about something in particular) but possible topics include:
- The new Drupal.org (how did we not mention this last time?!?)
- The approaching switch to Git
- Interest in training events in Perth
- DrupalDownunder
- A quick overview of using Features to create modules from types and views
- Anything else people want to discuss

Next meeting??
Great to see that there is a local Drupal group.
Looks like i just missed the last Perth meeting. How did the last meeting go? Do you have dates for the next meeting?
I am interested in networking with other Drupal people. I have some ideas of projects that i would like to seek people to collaborate with. Do you have any leads as to good Drupal companies looking to taking on/develop ideas?
Looking forward to your response.
There are a few people who
There are a few people who attend regularly and one or two others who come occasionally, but the Perth group isn't huge. Most of the time we just have a few drinks and a chat. We're expecting the next one to be some time in early February but there aren't any dates yet. After that, who knows?
Drupal shops I'm aware of include Bouncing Orange (where I work), Itomic, Spoon Media, and some freelancers like Webzen. There are also users at the State Records Office, WA Museum and various other organisations. I'm sure I'm missing some obvious and important names, but those are the ones that leap to mind.
Drupal 7 release party!
Hello Sutton,
Should we arrange a Drupal 7 release party on January 7, 2011 in Perth?
I think it's a good idea and making Perth Drupal group growing bigger.

Sorry @ayanim97 and @ryivhnn, but I'm not going to be organising a release party. If anyone else wants to, feel free!
