Hey, I'm in search of a Sydney based drupal developer. I really like drupal and it's potential but i find it difficult to find solutions for specific problems. I have had help developing my site from a drupal developer who is based in New York but i'm not finding it too useful given the time difference etc. So i'm asking anyone who works with drupal and lives preferably in Sydney to contact me please!

Ideally I would like to find someone prepared to teach me the more technical side of developing drupal websites and i'm prepared to pay. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to go about this? Would it be easier to take some php courses which are abundant in Sydney, or is there a better solution?

Any comments are appreciated.

Hey Chris,

I would recommend coming to the next user group meeting (July 17th) to catch up with some other sydney-based drupal people.

Also, it would help if you explained the type of things you're trying learn / do with drupal. Jumping into the developer or themer role is much different than a user or administrator type role. Depending on the extent of help you need, I might be able to offer some help directly as well.

Hi Chris,

My business partner, Irene, is Sydney-based and I am based in Melbourne. We are working together on various Drupal projects. I've been specialising in Drupal for almost 3 years. My qualifications are B.Sc. Computer Science and various I.T. management and programming positions since 1991. Irene has an I.T. degree, and has been working in the industry for 24 years. She moved into Drupal work more recently.

I think that together, Irene and I could help you find solutions to specific problems and mentor you.

My website is drupal.com.au.

Happy to have a chat on the phone if that helps. 03 5968 1541.
