Brisbane Meetup - 23 October 2008
Good news for all Brisbane Drupallers -- Marmaladesoul is excited to be organising the first regular Brisbane Drupal Meetup!
Come along and meet other Drupallers in your area, discuss what you'd like to see at the next meetup, and generally have a great time hanging out with fellow Drupalgeeks at a funky coffee house. We'll also be fresh back from DrupalCamp Australia 2008 and will be sharing the highlights.
Our first meetup is all about getting to know each other but bring your ideas for future meetups. Everyone is welcome regardless of experience, whether you are simply interested in Drupal or swimming neck-deep. :)
- Thursday 23 October 2008, 7pm till 9pm
- The Three Monkeys Coffee & Tea House, 58 Mollison St, West End
For maps and other info on the venue, check out the following great Drupal site :)

Not quite the first
Good idea to organise a meetup.
It's not quite the first (see http://groups.drupal.org/node/2702 and http://groups.drupal.org/node/3891) but we haven't been particularly active I must say. Time to turn that around, eh?

Microsoft Live Mesh
During his discussion, Tim brought up the topic of Livemesh. For those of us not using Windows, but still interested in file synchronisation systems, firstly it was announced yesterday that Microsoft will be releasing a Mac OS X client for Livemesh. Unfortunately I've not heard of anything Livemesh-related for Linux.
Secondly, I stumbled upon a nice alternative which has clients for Windows, OS X and Linux. It's a commercial service but is free for up to 2 GB, I believe. Check it out at http://www.getdropbox.com
