Drupal meetups are officially back in the San Gabriel Valley and are now on the 4th Thursday of each month. Following our reboot of the SGV Drupal group with our Reboot and Drupal After Dark at Intelligentsia on May 17th, we're meeting this time at Il Fornaio in Old Town Pasadena on Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 6:30-8:30pm. Join us!
Presentations are being lined up for this meetup. Do you have a job announcement that you'd like to make? Is there a presentation you'd like to give or see given? Leave a comment at http://groups.drupal.org/node/227348#comments to let the organizers and attendees know what you'd like to present.
This event is being sponsored by Joico/ISO (@Joico), a subsidiary of Shiseido (the oldest cosmetics company in the world) that produces and sells salon-quality healthy hair products and hair color products for professionals who specialize in hair care.
Joico/ISO is hiring a Drupal developer to work with them in their San Gabriel Valley office, located at the base of the San Gabriel mountains in Arcadia, CA. See http://groups.drupal.org/node/232553 for more information.
The projector and raffle prizes for this event are being provided by Exaltation of Larks, a Drupal strategy, consulting, development and training company with a team of Drupal experts in Los Angeles. Follow us at @LarksLA to learn more about our Drupal services.
For any changes to our agenda for the evening, stay tuned to this meetup announcement or click the Sign up button below (or both!) and be notified when the agenda has been updated and to receive the organizers' phone number.
Just bring your laptop, your business cards or whatever else you need.
Although we're meeting at a restaurant, there is no obligation to buy food or alcohol.
Our meetups follow a basic format and start off with Drupal news and announcements, local job announcements, raffle prizes and full-length presentations.
As always, we'll have community Q&A, during which time anyone in attendance can ask questions, divine answers from the crowd and give brief, 5-10 minute-long presentations known as lightning talks.
After the meetup, we'll finish off the night with more networking and a Drupal After Dark at 8:30pm. We may go out for coffee or tea at Intelligentsia or over to Jake's or Lucky Baldwin's for something stronger.

Comparing Meetup.com and Groups.drupal.org
San Gabriel Valley Drupal now has two places to congregate and coordinate online: Meetup.com/SGV-Drupal and Groups.drupal.org/san-gabriel-valley. If there's interest, we can discuss the differences and similarities between Meetup.com and Groups.drupal.org and how we can use the two to grow our open-source community.

We are meeting in one of Il Fornaio's back rooms and will be given a room appropriate for the size of our group. Click the Sign up button below to be notified when the agenda has been updated and to receive the organizers' phone number.
Old Town Pasadena is connected to Downtown Los Angeles via the Metro Gold Line. A group of attendees will likely be carpooling together from Droplabs, a coworking space in Downtown Los Angeles. Leave a comment below if you'd like to carpool or offer a ride.
We've been having Drupal meetups in the San Gabriel Valley since June, 2010. In addition to scheduling monthly meetups, our organizers hold occasional trainings and workshops and get together for social gatherings.
Attending SGV Drupal events is one of the best ways to meet and talk with other Drupaleros and we encourage you to attend meetings and special events regularly. See our event schedule at http://groups.drupal.org/san-gabriel-valley for more.
Whether it's to find solutions to problems you've been having, sharing something you've learned or just meeting interesting like-minded people, the SGV Drupal events are an essential resource for Drupal professionals and hobbyists alike.
