Hello everyone. As suggested, I've created this wiki page as a place for us to begin organizing the 2012 DrupalCamp Montréal. We're looking for both volunteers and dedicated organizers. Please sign up.
Add your name to list of core organizers below if you're interested in making a steady commitment of time and energy across the Summer. Please add your name to the list of potential volunteers below if you have time to devote at some point, but cannot make a steady commitment. Add anything else to this wiki page as you see fit.

Volunteers
We need volunteers to help us make this event happen! The best way to participate is to join our monthly-ish meetings. On the weekend of the event we need people to (1) welcome people, (2) collect payment and hand out t-shirts, (3) introduce panels, (4) answer questions for weary travellers, and most importantly: (5) ensure that the coffee is flowing!
- KarimB for the event web site dev or theming, e-marketing campaign, welcome people, collect payment and hand out t-shirts, ensure that the coffee that I will bring from Bolivia is flowing!! et une dose de bonne humeur sud-américaine.
- Jenny Galewski - amazing t-shirt design!
- Guillaume Boudrias Translation to French and small organisational tasks
- Alena will welcome people, collect payment, answer questions (tout ça en français & in english)
- Trevor Kjorlien Video recording/editing
- This could be you! Click "edit" and add your name (login first if necessary!)

Finding someone to lead code sprint
Ryan is working on this currently.
Website
A staged site is now live at http://www.drupalcampmontreal.org. Contact Andrew for access.
The following issues need addressing:
- We've had claims that emails aren't going out when people register. This may be a junkmail issue as we've confirmed that emails are going out.
- The signup confirmation and reminder text on [http://drupalcampmontreal.com/fr/node/184/signups/settings] and [http://drupalcampmontreal.com/fr/node/5/signups/settings] needs polishing and translation.
Door Prizes
Two copies of SAMS 'Teach Yourself Drupal' remain from last year, and Pearson is sending more titles to Matt. Maybe Suzanne can contact her publisher.
vps.net has contributed a coupon code (dcampmont) for a free month of hosting and Pantheon is sending a box of tshirts and "other fun stuff". Matt also contacted Acquia; no word yet.
Shirts
Jenny created a design and placed the order, to be delivered Fri Oct 12th. Cost: $1012.18
Supplies from 2011
The following at Koumbit and will be brought to this year's camp:
- Lanyards with clip for schedule

Coordinating on dates...
We're looking at the same approximate timeframe for Drupalcamp Toronto. There will be some people who will want to attend both, so I thought I'd subscribe and ensure that we don't choose the same dates.

We've opted for October
Hi Cleaver,
We've opted for an October date so there shouldn't be a conflict. Good luck with your planning.
Next meeting?
Someone knows when is planned the next meeting for volunteers?

After DrupalCon Munich
We were going to have a meeting last week, but too many people were unavailable. The current plan is to have one as soon as folks are back from Munich, likely the week of August 27th. We'll post an announcement here once a date is chosen. Thanks for your interest!
Great
Perfect. I'll be waiting the next meeting then.

Please count me in for this event. I'm willing to help and attend meetings, whenever they come up.

Meeting Tonight
Hi Ted,
Sounds good. We have a meeting tonight (September 6th) actually.

Suggestion for drupal camp
Hi all, I regret that I won't be able to make it to the meeting tonight.
I wanted to suggest 1 idea for content at the event:
A presentation about Aegir, and how it can be used for a continuous deployment development environment (XP). This would also need to have a quick primer on Aegir, Drush, and Drush make.
I see this as a really useful skill set for Drupalers who need to deploy and update sites regularly. It's also a good topic because Aegir is made by Montreal's Koumbit. It would be great to have a Koumbit developer to present this stuff. I've been working with Aegir, so help set up demos, or whatever.
Sorry i can't be at the meeting to pitch this idea. But if you're looking for content ideas, please throw this in the ring.
Koumbit and Aegir will be there!
Hi @tinflute,
I'm glad to see that you're interested in seeing an Aegir session. As soon as there's a call for sessions, we'll be submitting a couple.
Regards, C
Session proposals
If all goes well, we should have the site up and open for session proposals tomorrow, September 14th.
