Hi All,
I have a client (one of our older ones) which is considering development of a phone app integrated to existing D6 site - PRIMARILY as an "ease of use" for their userbase.
It would need to show latest blog posts and forum posts - and enable commenting via phone app, on both. Also the contact form.
Target platforms are iPhone and Android.
This would have to be a task I'd outsource - I have little idea about phone app development. And the more I have researched about Titanium Accelerator and PhoneGap over last few days, the more I'm convinced I have no idea what I'm doing...
Worse, I'm not even sure what information/spec is required so that I can get some quotes.
Has anyone used/Does anyone know of a reputable dev shop that has some street cred with simple phone apps, that I could contact, and who would be able to lead me through the discussion to get enough out of me to give a quote?
Only other option I've seen is http://drupal.org/project/drupalgap which seems to be a generic app you can attach to your site... I'll investigate that further.
Other options people have used -if any - appreciated as well :)

Native Phone App for a Drupal 6 site
Hi Jason.
We're completing an iPhone app now and have built webapps for D6 on top of Services module. We'd be happy to help write up a spec with you for the client to approve or at least get them talking about it. Probably best to talk to Zina in our office to get things rolling. 02 8485 6807 or zina at hol.ly
Ping me back if you have no joy raising her today.
free or nearly free mobile apps

For the basic setup no coding required.

DrupalCon App using phonegap
Hi Jason,
CrossFunctional built the DrupalCon mobile app using phonegap and released it for both iOS and Android (we also have a windows mobile build, but had a few cross-device issues we didn't resolve before the event). You can see some details on the blog - http://crossfunctional.net/blog/2013/jan/drupalcon-your-hand-dc-sydney-m...
We also gave a presentation at the user group awhile back that covered several approaches to mobile and the pros/cons. If its not on slideshare, let me know.
We would also be happy to help you develop the spec and/or build it if you'd like.
