Melbourne Meetup Nov 2009 @Em Space

2009-11-10 18:30 - 21:30 Australia/Melbourne This meetup will happen on Tuesday 13th October from 6:00pm, at the Em Space offices at Level 8, 289 Flinders Lane Map.
Casual this month. Beer will be provided but no food. No donations required this month.

I'm grappling with a few things ATM ...
1) Inheritance of location data (user created node to auto-populate with the users location)
2) Add Gmap to Views table (or similar - maybe with a custom template??)

I don't really have any presenters, Brian has been doing such a good job! He got married so i couldn't even ask him to organize. Personally I'm a bit worn out.
So, I think pretty casual. If someone has a structured focussed presentation then the projector will be there. Maybe we should go for a beer at the Charles Dickens.

I'll be there, and will be happy to bang on about all things Aegir and Drush Make etc until someone oneday shuts me up :) so if people have questions/war stories I will be happy to answer questions/help fix stuff.
I also recently started http://community.featureservers.org so can talk a little about Features and whatnot, or about the other cool stuff DevSeed are doing (ManagingNews etc)

okay if a visiting kiwi drops by? - our work has mostly been with civicrm and lots of OG stuff - v keen to hear about features/spaces if that might be on the agenda esp in terms of OG spaces so features can be turned on/off per Group (as per Open Atrium approach).

Hello, I'm from South Korea and very new to this group and also a bit new in Melbourne(I've been this city for 8 months).
I'm wondering if anyone who is interested in Drupal can attend this meetup freely or registered members only. I've been playing with php for 7 yrs but known Drupal just for 2+ months because my project manager required to use Drupal for current project I'm working on. Is it ok for me to go?

HI bs0048, yep there's no formal registration: if you're interested in Drupal and are in Melbourne then you're most welcome to show up. There's a whole range of people that show up, from novice to some that were almost 'there at the beginning'.
