The 1st Tuesday of the month is coming up again and soon it will time for the next Downtown Drupal meetup! We're meeting at Opodz Coworking in Little Tokyo, Downtown Los Angeles, on Tuesday, April 1, 2013 from 7-9pm. Those interested in attending this meetup remotely are welcome to join us via WebEx.
To celebrate April Fools Days, this meetup features a presentation on Drupal Joke Modules and a review of what they do, from the classic Talk Like a Pirate module to the recent Password Backup & Restore module from the Droplabs module development boot camp. These may require bad judgement or just a sense of humor, but this will surely be an entertaining presentation for everyone!
At this meetup, we're having our usual news and announcements, as well as raffle prizes, community Q&A, lightning talks (which are short, bite-sized presentations) and featured presentations. Is there a presentation topic that you're interested in? Post a comment to either request or offer a presentation, or contact any of the organizers listed above.

Introducing Open Office Hours, courtesy of Droplabs
The meetup tonight starts promptly at 7pm, but everyone is welcome to join us earlier at Spitz (directly across the street from Opodz) for a quick snack and a happy hour starting at 6pm.
At tonight's meetup we'll be introducing Open Office Hours, a new program at Droplabs, one of tonight's meetups sponsors:
Speaking of Droplabs, the usual shuttle / carpool service will not be running today. See you at tonight's meetup!
This was an interesting
This was an interesting meetup. We skipped all our news and announcements and went straight into a Drupal "clinic" to help one of the attendees with her website. The epicenterla.org website had some issues with text formats and Stew was able to troubleshoot the issue.
Meanwhile, Opodz was happy to host and they extended their member discount to our group for happy hour across the street. Many thanks to Ryo, John and Charlene for having us!
In other news, we're getting ready for another Drupal boot camp at Droplabs and we're waiting for feedback from potential applicants. Please check out the polls below:
What would you like our next boot camp to focus on?
https://groups.drupal.org/node/416448
Would you pay / donate to attend our next developer boot camp?
https://groups.drupal.org/node/416443
What is the top reason you'd become a sponsor (food, venue, financial, etc.) of our next developer boot camp?

Finally, yesterday's April Fools Day press release about GLADCamp changing its name to VLADCamp rocketed to the number one most popular post on Drupal Groups (and remains there even now). Nice one, everyone!
